DOB: ?DOD: ?Age at Enlistment: ?Date of Enlistment: March 18, 1864Place of Enlistment: Dalton, GARank at Enlistment: PrivateRank at Discharge: PrivateCasualty: NoneComments: Nothing is known about Henry other than his name and that is not even certain. Captain Atkeison’s account book lists J.W. Wright enlisting on March 18, 1864. However, all the rosters dated after February 1864 were lost so Wright does not actually have a service record with the 1st Tennessee. Though Atkeison lists him as J.W. George Nichols lists him as Henry Wright but mistakenly labels him as a substitute for one of the three Williamson Grays that bought one, even though this is incorrect as well because those three substitutes all have service records. There is another post war roster made by the Adjutant of the 1st Tennessee that also lists him as Henry and not J.W. and also lists his whereabouts as unknown. This would imply that Wright was not from Williamson County or a county that the 1st Tennessee had men originate from. Wright was not present at the Company’s surrender in 1865 so what became of him is unknown. Nichols states he deserted but Nichols was no longer in Company D at this time, though he was in contact with men who were. Captain Atkeison’s account book stops shortly after Wright’s enlistment in 1864, so there is no more information there.
