Rank at Enlistment:  Private Rank at Discharge:  Private Casualty:  None Comments:  There is not much information on Henry Smith (not to be confused with Henry Hunter Smith of the same company).  In Captain Atkeison’s account book he is listed as deserting at Chattanooga on July 10, 1863 and has “a conscript” written next to his name.  His name appears on a few post war rosters but his whereabouts and information are listed as unknown.  This would imply he was not from an area where anyone from the company could keep up with him.  He probably deserted a short time after enlisting.
